What is Wagyu?
Wagyu beef is the meat from Wagyu cattle, which originally hails from Japan.
WAGYU literally means: JAPANESE COW
Wagyu is bred in varying levels of purity in the United States, Australia, and around the world. All Kobe is Wagyu. but not all Wagyu is Kobe.
Can we get Kobe Beef in America?
Kobe beef can cost several hundred US dollars per pound, but you’ll rarely find real Kobe in the United States!
Out of 1.5 billion cattle in the world only about 3,000 cattle are certified as kobe each year.
